Back to Static Ultra!

Static Ultra Strikes Back!

So if you've been following this blog, you'll be aware this last few weeks or so, I've been experimenting with different ways of separating my layout/theme/template from my pages, so that I can update them independently.

Cut a long story short, I had it right with Static Ultra. Today while working on different approaches, and trying to get the peices to fit together and tick all the boxes, I just suddenly had a moment where I realised "I've been through all this before". And that's why I made Static Ultra and why it works the way it does!

So, I've just been through and re-integrated Static Ultra back into my site. And honestly it's actually quite a nice feeling.

I do think however I learned some from this experience. I also still think I could develop a new version of Static Ultra which is easier to use, and has simplier code. But the fundamental way it works is correct, so that's a project for a future me. Right now I have other stuff I wanna work on. The current Static Ultra works very well, even if it could do with being easier to get started with for people!

Anyway, since I'm using Static Ultra again, I get to have this little button back on my site again. Yay!
