Wohoo! A pal has gifted me https://scott.itsasite.uk, and on there I have access to PHP, SQL and FTP!

Well, this changes everything... again xD! I've not long moved my site from Neocities to Wordpress.com. I did that because I wanted to reduce the amount of work involved in updates, and gain access to built in comments, email subscriptions and stats.

Wordpress.com IS very good, but after a while of using it I did begin to get a little irked by some of its "ways of doing things" and free tier limitations. I would still definitely recommend in it general, and I'd still be using it if I hadn't been gifted this new PHP hosting.

With PHP however, I can do everything I want exactly the way I want. For example, on the new site I'm already using PHP to separate my theme from my pages, and some .htaccess shenanigans so I can still have nice URLs ending in .html.

Now I need to finish bringing all the pages over to the new system and then most likely get a comments system going. And then I'll probably try to look at bringing down the steps in creating a blog post, stuff like that.

So, to summarize, my main site is scott.itsasite.uk from now on. I'll leave the existing sites as they are, they're not doing any harm.
